We've re-opened our My Little Farmer program with social distancing in mind. Here are some of the adjustments we are making:
Even smaller classes: All classes will have a maximum of 5 children and we ask that only one adult join in, keeping our group less than 10 people.
All outdoors: To maximize social distancing, the classes will be entirely outdoors. The restrooms will still be available and we have covered, outdoor spaces for inclement weather days (we will not run classes in storms). We will incorporate water play & keep the kids in the shade on warmer days.
More Animal Time: Although we love the supplemental and fine motor skill activities in every class, we will be removing shared toys/farm objects & some fine-motor activities from the program until the WHO and CDC advise otherwise. Instead, we will have much more animal time and each child will have their own tractor, bucket, gardening tools & feed bucket for each class. These will be sanitized between groups. You may bring your own items if you prefer.
Sanitizing: We will continue our rigorous sanitization between classes & have hand sanitizer at the ready. We will supply anti-bacterial wipes for your use and encourage you to bring extra as well.
Masks: All adults and children over 5 must wear masks during class. Children under 5 are not required to wear masks.
We will closely monitor all communication from the WHO and CDC as well as local authorities for safety updates and adjust as guided.
If you prefer to join us for private visits instead of classes, we will be running them throughout the summer. More dates will be added soon and can be booked here.
